Om emnet

This course description comes last, but is of course the most important. In terms of the context at AHO, the alignment between activities in the Context and Apparatus courses the work on your individual research project, carried out in the context of institute supervision or as a member of a project team, is central. Where apparatus aims to establish your relation with the PhD programme and with the regulatory structures that surround research, and context aims to create interdisciplinary sensibility and to cement relationships with your PhD Peers, the project components of the PhD school are aimed at relating these back to your individual thesis work. The aim is to create a productive platform where the demands of individual projects can be met and supported from the PhD school, and to emphasize that work on the individual project commences at the start of semester 1. That work, in the first instance, is likely to be formed both by an experimental and an orientative aspect. A prime activity of importance in the first semester is to define a map, or listing of literature, developments, figures and products that are essential in defining the research field that your project encounters. This is particularly important for any projects with an interdisciplinary aspect.
