Course content
Good systems-oriented design projects proceed several times through the loop outlined in a ‘systems-oriented design creative process framework’. This thorough process guides concept selection and validation by means of various methods. In this module, students will progress their own projects through the framework and receive training in the range of methods. As a connected aspect, we will also practise co-creation and facilitation.
Learning outcome
- A deeper understanding of the processes involved in choosing a concept and validating it through testing and challenging perspectives and limits
- Using systems-oriented design in innovation processes
- Applying processes for co-creation
Working and learning activities
The module consists of two seminars and a final presentation of students’ own concepts.
- Seminar I – AHO in Oslo – Introduction to the framework and initial test of own concepts
- Seminar II – digital via Zoom – Students will progress their projects through the whole framework once more to strengthen them and test the framework
Evaluation
Presentation of findings and changes to the student’s own project (pass/fail)
